Releasing blocks is not as hard as you might think.

There is so much going on in the world today. Women, especially, have had to manage a thousand things to support themselves, maintain healthy relationships, raise a well-balanced family, succeed in business, and rise above the fray.

It has not been easy, and the effects of this negatively impact our health and overall sense of well-being. Psychoneuroimmunology, a pioneering branch of science, has established that what we think, feel, and believe determines our lives’ quality and forms the basis of our reality.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, have unresolved conflict, or are experiencing a crisis. You may not know how to deal effectively with these things in your life because, let’s face it, most of us have never been given the tools or understanding of how to handle crises from a holistic heart-centered perspective. 

We get triggered, and then all hell breaks loose. We end up retreating into ourselves, yelling, screaming, getting angry, or worse, blaming ourselves even though we are not to blame. We internalize the issues, and they fester inside, making us sick, negative, and closed off. These unresolved issues block us and many times keep us stuck in our lives.

There is a lot more going on within us than meets the eye, and we carry our difficulties and burdens in all three of our bodies: physical, emotional, and mental.

We also carry the imprints of unresolved conflicts from past generations, which cause us to filter reality, project fear, and operate in protection/survival modes. 

As a result, we prevent ourselves from experiencing anything new, let alone establishing a sense of safety or living from the foundation of life itself – Love.

To create meaningful change in our lives and to clear blocks, we need to address things holistically – both internally and externally – which means looking inward and outward, examining our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions for patterns of repetition or habitual ways of thinking or behaving.

When we are able to make this distinction between being a victim of circumstance vs taking responsibility for our lives, then transformation can happen because instead of trying harder at something you’ve been doing your whole life with little success (which is usually exhausting) you’re releasing yourself from old habits and patterns by recognizing it’s time to let go.

In these times of great change, we need more than ever to be able to sense our own power so that we can act with courage and confidence as individuals and in our communities. 

But sometimes we can’t sense our power and don’t know what to do when we get stuck. The same old same old is no longer working for these troubled times and we need a new tool kit for transforming our actions, reactions, and inner dialogue. 

This new holistic and integrative approach has been taught by ancient cultures and it is the same thing I teach in my amazing Unbreakable Queen Pelvic Wellness Community and I believe they will help you to reconnect to the true person you are and understand the power of being a woman. 

The truth is that we no longer have the luxury of waiting until tomorrow! 

We are living in a time of great change, and we need more than ever to be able to sense our own power so that we can act with courage and confidence as individuals and communities. 

But how can we go about that when we feel blocked, filled with negativity, or feel as though our life is spiraling out of control?

Do you feel like the only way to get back on track with what matters most in your life is by taking radical action, but it just feels too scary to do so?

You are not alone.

I have been a pelvic floor physical therapist for over 15 years and I know what it’s like to struggle with long-term unresolved conflicts. As a result, I also know how liberating it can be when they are finally resolved.

The first step to making this shift and releasing blocks is to start living your life with intention. This means becoming aware of and standing up for what you want in all aspects of life-emotional, mental, physical, spiritual-and taking back control over the direction you are heading by being mindful about what is blocking you. Once you have that awareness you can then release it and come back into living a more tranquil and happy life.

In order to make these changes happen, I recommend that you start with a simple release ritual that will help to lighten your load by releasing any attachments or energy blocks so you can create new positive thoughts and emotions.

It’s been scientifically proven that holding on to feelings such as anger, resentment, guilt, shame, fear, sadness, loneliness distances us from each other and also distorts reality causing suffering. 

The Release Technique and many more just like it are part of my ongoing Pelvic Wellness Collective.

I believe that no one deserves to live a mediocre or unfulfilling life when they could have more joy and contentment.

The Release Technique:

A simple release technique that I do to resolve blocks and negativity is something you can do any time, anywhere.

Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and your arms by your side. Imagine that thing holding you back right in front of you and it has a cord that’s connecting to your heart.

Breathe very deeply as you imagine this block, use all of your five senses. Thank the block for the lessons that it has taught you and then say thank you but you no longer serve me to my highest purpose.

Then bring your right arm in front of your face creating one side of an “x” and your left arm behind the right arm to make a complete “x” shape.

Take a deep breath and bring your hands to your sides like your arms are scissors. Imagine as you bring your hands down to your sides that you are cutting the cord.

Put your hands on your heart and visualize yourself free; free from that block. Imagine your life, your routine, your relationships as you want them to be, and know that this block is not holding you back anymore.

Always remember… You’re beautiful and it’s your birthright to have a life that is filled with joy and happiness every day.
